St. Francis Xavier is delighted to welcome Dr. Missy Parkison as our new Director of Family and Community Life.
Missy and her husband Paul recently moved to Birmingham from Jacksonville, Florida, where Paul accepted a position at UAG. Married 35 years, they have two young adult children living in Nashville.
Missy became Catholic through RCIA while at Vanderbilt University and holds a Doctor of Ministry from the Catholic University of America and a certification in Spiritual Direction from Loyola University in Chicago.
Her experience spans parish and diocesan ministry, Catholic Relief Services, teaching advanced theology, and providing spiritual accompaniment. She is eager to collaborate with staff and parishioners to foster spiritual growth, coordinate ministries, and ensure a welcoming environment for all.
