The music ministry is eager to provide quality leadership through music that encourages complete participation of the congregation in sung prayer. We need YOU to get involved. Our ministry depends on the members of St. Francis Xavier to bring their talents forward to lead the music. Please consider sharing your gifts of song with us!
Saturday:
4:30 p.m. Choir: Piano and organ. Practice begins at 4 p.m.
before Mass.
Sunday:
8:30 a.m. Mass: Xavier Singers is a contemporary group with piano,
guitar and bass. Practice is on Thursday evenings at 7:00 p.m.
11:00 a.m. Mass: St. Francis Xavier Choir is mostly traditional choir.
Practices are Wednesday evenings at 7:00 p.m.
5:00 p.m. Mass: The St. Francis Xavier Youth Choir is still in the
formation process. We begin our practices at 4:00 p.m. before Mass. We
are looking for more instrumentalists and voices to join us.
The Children's Choir sings on a monthly basis beginning in October. They also sing at one of the Christmas Masses and for First Holy Communion. Practice dates are TBA.
Handbell Choir: We have the bells but really need the ringers! Wouldn't it be wonderful to hear the sound of our heavenly handbells playing at the Christmas and Easter Masses? Please consider joining us.
None of the choirs practice during the summer months but we welcome newcomers at any time!
