Liturgical Ministries Information

Altar Servers

Boys and girls, Grades five and above, assist the priest around the altar during Mass. Altar servers are honored annually in a recognition breakfast hosted by the Knights of Columbus.

Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion

Men and women involved in active parish ministry assist the priest in giving the Body and Blood of Jesus during the distribution of Communion at Mass.

Lectors

Men, women and teens share in this ministry as they proclaim the Scriptures at Mass during the Liturgy of the Word.

Greeters and Ushers

Greeters and ushers are ministers of hospitality who -- stationed in the church foyer prior to Mass -- welcome and assist Mass attendees as needed. They also distribute weekly bulletins after Mass.

Sacristans

Sacristans are dedicated parishioners who take care of the altar linens, sacred vessels, and set up for the Masses.

Flower Guild

The Flower Guild is comprised of parishioners whose talents for floral arranging are shared with -- and enjoyed by -- the congregation.

Wedding Coordinators

The Wedding Coordinators are a group of parishioners who meet with engaged couples assisting and facilitating all details surrounding their marriage ceremony.
